Chapin, SC is a small town located on the northern tip of Lexington County. This suburb is located 22 miles west of Columbia. Most residents of this small community commute to downtown Columbia for work. Public schools in this district are highly rated. Since the 1970s, Chapin football has been a community event after winning two state championships in the 1970s. Lake Murray is the main attraction of the town and hosts the Chapin Labor Day Festival every year.
