Rosemarie Averhoff

Born and raised in Northern Germany near the Baltic Sea. My professional background was with National Health Insurance and Private Health Insurance in Germany. In Switzerland I worked at UBS and in England in a Hotel at the front desk for a summer season to see how I would do speaking English every day. I came to the US in 1968 and have lived North to South, East to West relocating 15 times during the first 30 yrs of our marriage, raising our 2 beautiful daughters Kirstin and Corinne. I was supporting my husband in advancing in the hotel industry. We lived in Seoul S. Korea and traveled the Orient, Australia and to Fiji, loving it. America is a beautiful country and we have seen a lot of it while we lived in many states.
We selected Columbia SC as our permanent home in 1991 in the Irmo and Lake Murray area. We love it here.
I decided on a real estate career in 1993 and love assisting Buyers and Sellers. Every time we moved brokers who helped us find a home asked me to come and work for them. After Kirstin graduated from USC with a degree in BS Science and Accounting in 1996 she saw how much joy my business brought me and asked if she could join me in 1997. She was working in an accounting firm and loved the idea to work with me as a team and sell Real Estate. We were the 1st Mother/Daughter team in Columbia. We also were the 1st REALTORS with their own website. Kirstin was eager to earn the same professional designations I have earned and been awarded by the National Association of REALTORS. Knowledge is important to us to assist our clients well.

Kirstin became sick not understanding what made her sick until she ordered a MOLD test to their home (her husband refused that repeatedly) and MOLD was found as well as a disconnected vent pipe to the gas hot water heater directly under her bed. She inhaled these toxins 24/7/365 for 7+ years. Dr's are under contract with their affiliated hospitals and have to do what they say. Over 15 years we experienced that there is no interest to treat chronically sick patients.

I know the local markets very well having lived in Columbia 31+ years and I have sold well over $100 Million in Real Estate making many friends and loyal clients. Clients have said: "You love what you do and it shows". I love assisting buyers and sellers achieve their goals buying and or selling.
